Fine.
I'm missing out on all the cny celebrations back home just when everyone's celebrating....but it's all good coz I've got my parents here with me and I'm now a proud graduate from curtin uni!
Picked my parents up in the morning yesterday for shopping...brought them to harbourtown...bought a white skirt from valleygirl for only 7 bucks coz they were having a mega sale...hehe...and it was a good buy...my mum also bought some casual clothes for herself and my sis from fila...spent about 2 hrs shopping and headed for lunch at northbridge...brought them to tra vinh for viet food...and they liked the food there...after lunch, we went to buy nougats...then sent my parents back to the hotel before picking them up later in the evening to go for my convocation...we reached uni about an hr early so we were busy taking lotsa pics...I had a self- portrait taken by the professional photographers for 85 bucks....man, daylight robbery but my dad said it's only once in a lifetime, so it was necessary...met lotsa my good friends...some whom I got to know since cic days and some, recently. So anyway, there was a rehearsal before the real thing and my seat was next to rebecca's...!hehe...kinda had this feeling that I might be sitting next to her coz our surnames are quite close...yeah...then the ceremony kicked off after the rehearsal...and the staff made sure that our regalia was properly worn before we proceeded on stage to receive our award...there were spectacular fireworks after the whole ceremony was over and everyone cheered and clapped...we also had a standing ovation from the crowd...there were refreshments served after the ceremony and a variety of different cuisines to choose from...but my parents and I went for asian food...after everything, I sent my parents back to the hotel... definitely a night to remember!
Pictures will be posted later...
