Met up with steff yesterday after so long coz she was caught up with uni work...anyway, on the way to pick her up, I ALMOST met with an accident AGAIN. I SWEAR the drivers here should all go for refresher courses...some of them seriously SUCK at driving and know nuts about traffic rules and when to give way...the incident spoiled my morning big time...this was what happened: I was travelling on a straight road(let's say the direction I was heading was north)and adhering to the speed limit of 70km/h and at this particular traffic junction, some cars from the opposite direction(heading south)were waiting for cars on my side to clear before they could turn right(turn towards the west)The traffic light on my side of the road was green so I happily went ahead and just as I passed the traffic light, some stupid no-brainer driver suddenly made a turn when I was so close!!!Bloody hell!I was so shocked that I immediately swerved to the other lane(Thank God there wasn't any car on that lane)to avoid hitting that car...if I had braked really hard to avoid hitting that car just at that moment, I would've ended up in a horrific crash coz the speed I was travelling at was quite fast...really, I was so incensed that I was cursing and swearing all the way to steff's house...I think even the drivers in s'pore are not as reckless as the ones here...then called hunny to tell him abt it coz I couldn't get my mind off it...imagine how cheesed off I was!
Steff tried to calm me down and we headed to supre...didn't buy anything there...don't really like the new arrivals coz they're kinda 'jappy'... steff bought a skirt & top...then we went to quokka to place an ad for my car...after which, went to carousel for lunch and more shopping...spent quite alot yesterday...stocked up on toiletries and bought hunny's belated anniversary present but didn't see any nice clothes...was kinda disappointed...but at least I got over the incident earlier on after all that shopping...
