[Monday, December 05, 2005 . ]

Well, my sis dyed my hair for me last night...I bought red dye but my hair turned out reddish brown in the end...the red wasn't that obvious coz my hair was originally black so the final outcome resulted in more of the brownish tinge...but all's good, I think the colour suits me...wow, never knew my sis was quite pro at it considering it's her first time...the colour is also evenly spread out...good job sis!
Anyway, I really wanna blog about my interview this morning...totally abhor my interviewer...an asshole...I won't state the name of the company though...I could tell he totally looked down on me...he asked why I didn't have an aussie accent since I studied in aus for 3 years...I was like 'coz I grew up in s'pore?'Then he went on to say 'oh, those people whom I've interviewed who studied in australia before came back with aussie accents...'. I couldn't take it lying down so I retorted 'Well, let's just say that accents can be faked and I'm not one of those who goes around faking an accent to impress people' And he kept quiet. Then he went on to ask 'So, were you on dean's list?'with a very condescending tone...and I said I wasn't and he told me 'Oh, my wife was on dean's list when she was at curtin' Wadda heck, why did you even have to boast to me about how brainy your wife is...like I'd care...go employ your wife then!'Such idiots ought to disappear from the face of this earth...well, have to wait for their reply next week coz they're still conducting interviews...even if I do or do not get the job offer, I wouldn't give a damn...and the company is so far away, all the way at the west...takes me like 1 and a 1/2 hours to reach there...gosh...the long journey puts me off...
I then went for the writing test for the editor opening with the publishing company in the afternoon...there was this other girl who took the test also...in her 30s...she's got a degree in english and a masters too...impressive...and even worked as an editor before...gosh...I really pale in comparison to her...don't even know if I can make it for the next round...keeping my fingers crossed...
I've been really down...dreaming of a white and magical christmas and a miracle this year...but I think I need some kinda divine intervention for it to happen!
